With thirty minutes to go why has no one bid on this?

Too high a starting price?

Authenticity issues?

His return policy and feedback score look good.

Just curious. It looks to me to be a very nice type piece (granted there is graffiti on the reverse).

Obversed looks burnished. Problem coin all day long.

His NNC MS65 gem bust half (ie AU58 AT) starting at $2000+ is equally as problematic.

This power seller is giving the state of Connecticut a bad name.

It could be fake, with the cleaning and burnishing as a mask for the faking.

It's either fake, or it's hideous. Or both.

You'd have to be out of your mind to spend that much on an uncertified regular issue coin on Ebay !!! Save yourselves a great deal of trouble and refuse to buy any early silver or gold type that isn't certified by PCGS or NGC. And don't EVER buy uncertified coins sight-unseen for that kind of money !!!

Thanks for the replies. It has been a while since I even looked on ebay. Stumbled upon this and thought I would ask the group their thoughts. I do agree that, minimally, the coin should be authenticated by a TPG.
