Is this post mint damage?

I found this in a roll today and I wonder if it is post mint damage or some kind of weak strike.

below is where the "IN" should be for IGWT:

The wear on the date looks like wear on the date, but the lack of "IN" is puzzling (to me).

I wonder why only the 9 in the date seems worn and the other numbers look good.

The "IN" appears to be post mint damage (scratched off/tooled)... The "9" in the date however, appears to be weakly struck from the mint.

The coin was struck through an accumulation of grease. A very common error.

I think it struck through grease as well.
I have this one in my album and I think its grease or cloth ?in a major way

The 1944 cent shows a grease strike too, in my opinion. One thing you must understand is that the term "grease" is a catch-all for any sort of crud that accumulates on the die face. It comes in various compositions and consistencies -- hard/soft, coarse/smooth, etc.
