What are the steps to highlight a quote in a response to a thread and then add my "two cents worth"?

You can hit the quote button instead of reply or copy what you want hit reply and use the quote button in the reply box.

Oh for heaven's sake! Is that what that thing is for? I also suppose it's been there for all these years I've been a member... and never realized it.

I think i may have got it. Thanks. I tried this earlier but the quote was so long that it used all of the reply box.

Sweet, I have always tried copying and pasting, then trying to italicize or add in quotation marks. This is much easier.

the quote is just editable text, as I have done just delete what you consider to be extraneous then add your comment. That will eliminate the horrendously long posts we frequently see. Be sure not to delete the bracketed html at beginning and end of the original.

If you want to learn how to underline or bold something just quote this post and it will show you.

If you want to post cockpit of an airplane that's here too. Be nice or I might get in trouble.
