I got this back from NCS Today

Bought it raw as part of a Whitman Album of Large Cents. The album was full with the exception of the 1795. I am still waiting for the 1799 to come back. I sent it in just to make sure it was authentic. I was very pleased with the Details grade.

This is one of the few coins many collectors don't care about problems. It's a huge part of history.

that makes sense since the details grade is overgrade. looks to be around f-12 details, net g-7 (eac) or so.

That particular coin looks pretty good in that holder. image

Problem or not, that is a very cool coin to have.

I would have liked to seen the whole album intact - how long ago was it assembled? Did it have the 1793 chain cent along with this one? And of course the 1799 you mentioned, and I assume the 1804 as well. No widgets here!

Yes, it is a new service. You pay a little extra and you get to call the grade. Guess it won't sticker. image

Hard to believe any legitimate TPG would do this. Got any documentation?

No it is called sarcasim. Interesting that some dork can tell something from a flat picture that several people and NCS could not.

Sometimes sarcasm is hard to pick up in a chat room which is why it's a good idea to use the winky face. image

It really doesn't matter what they say on the slab. You can see what it is and it will bring the amount of money that it is worth.
