New counterfeit trade dollars--in silver

Have in for study one each 1873-CC and 1875-CC Trade dollars that are counterfeit but appear to be in good silver. Weights 27.10 grams, specific gravities close enough to .900 fine silver. They ring like good silver.

Some of the big boys are getting hoodwinked and don't know what they have and are selling.
Sad. just have to have them slabbed by the big 3 if you want assurance that they are real! Some are
even a bit overweight!

<< <i>Thank goodness nobody bothers to counterfeit the IKE Dollar! >>
They do!
<< <i>I hope this works.
It didn't!
I was at an area (Phoenix) swap meet last weekend (don't ask, wife's idea), and there was a large vendor with a table full of fake coins in fake PCGS slabs. They were the same quality coins and slabs as the ones posted here a few months back, so i assume these are Chinese imports finding their way here. The asking price on them were below melt, so i'm certain he must have some takers.
<< <i>so they may have value after all >>
Hmmm...they're so ugly I thought they ALL were counterfeit.
