I have no idea, but I assume that it would be safe to say the complete MS sets going back to to the Barber series (dime, quarter and half); Indian and Flying Eagle Cent series, Liberty Nickel series, Morgan Dollar series, $2.50 incuse Indian gold series and $5.00 incuse Indian gold series exist today. Plus it would not surpise me to learn that a complete MS Set of Coronet Half Cents and Large Cents, Two Cent pieces, Nickel three cent pieces, silver trimes, the last series of silver half cents and silver twenty cent pieces exist today under the ownership of a single collector.

As far as the other series, even if MS examples of each coin in the series exists, I suspect that these coins have not been acquired by a single collector to form a complete MS set owned by one collector.

  • I'd WAG that there is a MS Draped Bust Small Eagle quarter roaming around somewhere... That could constitute a complete set of draped bust small eagle quarters. It's just one coin.

1793 Chain cent. All 3 major varieties in MS are suposedly owned by a single collector in the Northeast.

Edit: supposedly, because I have only heard this 3rd hand rather than actually hearing this from said collector.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.
