Question about ANACS grading

Dennis88Dennis88 Posts: 5,797 ✭✭✭
I received my 1849 $5 Moffat & Co. yesterday (see the other thread for more information and pics here) and have a question about the way the graded it, as I'm confused by their new methods of net grading.

The slab says the following:

1849 $5
Moffat & CO
Reverse Lamination

F-15

Is this coin net graded or not? They don't have "Net Grade" listed on the slab and I honestly have no idea if they changed this recently.

I don't think the Rev. Lamination would put it into a "Net Graded" slab.

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

Since a lamination is a planchet flaw and the coin came from the mint that way, its not PMD that would cause a net grade. If it was nte graded, it would say "F 15 Details". They have gotten very tight of late on grades.
