JULY 7-The Microsoft Live 25% off up to $250 back is LIVE AGAIN!

This was 35% and then dropped to 10% but it is now back up to 25% cashback up to a $250 rebate in 60 days. I used it at 35% and my cashback is pending with a countdown so it apparently works.
HERE IS THE THREAD WITH ALL THE INFO
You can also stack the eBay 10% off coupon, if you got one, for up to another $100 off. On top of that if you are earning eBay Cashback you can get that also.

I got to use my 10% ebay coupon earlier this week on a set of 4 18 inch tires as well as earned ebay bucks on them so ebay is being kind this week. Just wish I had known about this Microsoft deal before I bought the tires as well.
They are really throwing out some good incentives lately. If it hadn't been for the 20% off and double ebay bucks, I wouldn't have bought the ball, but by the time all that is applied (after 60 days for the Microsoft deal), I'll have a Jordan UDA signed baseball for about $210.00 delivered. I couldn't pass it up.

<< <i>I don't think I got a notice about the double ebay bucks? Did everyone get that? >>
I just assumed it was system wide but not certain. The period they gave me was June 20-June 29. My ebay bucks is usually 5 percent but for that period, it is 10 percent.
May not be system wide though because I thought I saw where some people were earning as low as 2% and as high as 15% back with the regular ebay promotion. It figures though that they started the ebay bucks AFTER I got most of my signed rookie cards. Oh well, no complaints about it though from me because most of the stuff I'm buying, I'd be buying anyway with the exception of the Jordan UDA baseball, so it's found money.

I wonder what criteria they used to determine what people were eligible for. I wonder if they used average purchases for a set period of time or something, and gave higher bucks to people that typically purchased less and lower bucks for people that typically purchase a lot anyway.
I probably spend about $1000 = $1500 a month on ebay and they gave me 5%. Is your purchase level a lot higher? (not asking to be nosy, just trying to figure out if they used any sort of logic behind it or if it was random assigned)

Has everyone else been able to create and access their accounts yet?
We're moving your cashback and payment information from Jellyfish to Live Search cashback. It will be available soon, sorry for any inconvenience.
thanks for sharing the info.

Pair it with the Ebay 10% coupon (code CJUNE0810P until June 30) and save a bundle.
$150 for me off of a $500 item.
<< <i>I don't think I got a notice about the double ebay bucks? Did everyone get that? >>
I did not...how do you redeem it?
<< <i>Will this work on a 'BIN-Best Offer' item? >>
Yes, as long as you do the BIN.
Mike
<< <i>Try going to THIS and clicking on "sign in" at the top right corner. It should take you to your account and show you your pending funds. I just got an email a minute ago that my $250 refund from last night just went through. I have not got that email in my ebay messages, but the pending funds is posted in my Live account so that is all that really matters. >>
Did not work for me because when I signed in and clicked on "cash back" in the upper right corner, then on that page I clicked on "your cash back account", I still get the "problem loading page" message.

eBayer slaps $714 price tag on $630 in cash Will Microsoft pay the difference?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In an attempt to game Microsoft's new Live Search Cashback program, an eBayer has put a $714 price tag on $630 in cash.
Pay cash for cash
That's right, $630 in cash can be yours for $714. But if you access the page through a Live Search ad link that returns 35 per cent of the purchase price, you can make up the difference. And then some. So you make a profit, and so does the seller. At the expense of Microsoft and eBay.
That's the theory, anyway. It's unclear whether this actually works, and neither Microsoft nor eBay has responded to requests for comment.
Last month, in a desperate effort to shrink the Google gap, Microsoft began bribing people to use its third rate search engine. If you use Live Search ads to find and purchase certain items, Microsoft will return a portion of the purchase price. In some cases, this amounts to a 35 per cent savings.
The payments come straight from Microsoft's product-selling advertisers. So, if a partner like eBay posts an advertisement, the ad fee provides that cash back refund.
Well, in recent days, message board mavens at FatWallet.com have noticed a potential loophole in this setup. If an eBay listing offers cash, they say, both the seller and the buyer can make some extra dough. But it must be a "Buy Now" purchase - and payment must be made through PayPal.
At the very least, there's a cap on that extra dough. Microsoft limits cash back rewards to $250. That's why our swashbuckling eBay choose $714 as a purchase price. But some posters are claiming a 35 per cent return is no longer available on eBay listings. The norm now seems to be 10 per cent on eBay buys.
If this does work - the eBayer hasn't responded to us either - we're sure it won't work for long. The bigger question is how long Ballmer can afford cash back refunds on all those other sales. ®

<< <i>You're welcome. By the way, it looks like its up to 25% as of this morning. >>
I noticed it was up to 25% also, so I bought a case of 2008 Allen & Ginter from Blowout. I'm getting $241.25 back from Microsoft, plus it let me use my 10% off coupon from ebay for another $96.50 off. I think I got a deal, as long as it's not a hassle getting my money from Microsoft in 60 days.
<< <i>How do I get the 10% off eBay coupon? >>
I received an email from ebay last week with a redemption code to get 10% off my next purchase, I don't know why. One time use, up to $100 off, expires the 30th.
having worked at MSFT for a number of years myself, I can tell you that this is most likely completely legit. Basically, MSN Search is a third-rate search engine and now they're trying to get you to switch by rebating a portion of your purchase (or conversion) generated through their search engine. You need to click through the ad with the x% showing to get that amount (capped at $250). Looks like you can have three different sessions where you could use this. So, up to $750 rebates. It takes 60 days to get it back--I guess that's the catch if any. You also have to sign up on live search (get a user name/password) where you can track the processing of the rebate and make sure you get it.
Is the 10% coupon code CJUNE0810P? (I found this via Google--not MSN--by the way).

yes, that's the one they sent to me.

You don't enter a promo code. You click through, make the purchase, and the offer will follow you on the ebay page. When you buy it now, it will say that you've qualified for $x rebate from MSFT. You have to pay via paypal within 30 days and then you get the rebate within 60 days of payment. The coupon from ebay requires entering a promo code.
Think of this as a "discover card" of search engines. The more you use, the more rebates you get. It's designed to hook people on using their search engine. Of course, $750 seems to be the limit for now.
also, can you use this if you make a best offer for an item ??
I plan on using it twice more and getting a $750 check from the boys in Redmond. Lord knows they have mountains of marketing cash to burn.
<< <i>i cant find a flippin thing using this search thing, It hasnt pulled one search from E-bay. >>
Type in something you know will take you to eBay through them, and the search eBay from within the page it took you to. You will still be covered as long as the Microsoft live logo with the 15% off on it is at the top of the eBay page.

Yep, got my 1957 Mazeroski PSA 8. $275 + 2.50 Shipping - $55 (20%) - $27.50 (10% eBay Coupon) - $22.50 (eBay Bucks 9% off of Selling Price) = net price of $172.50
Now to find some other cards on the wish list...
