Type #2 $20 Libs...1866-1876.......AU58 +....especially the "P" mint coins......1866...1868...1869...1870..1871....even in AU50 the 1868, 1870 and 1871 are no where to be found....IMHO
I think Buffalo Nickels are going to gain in interest in the coming years. There is always a transition between the "whitman" era and the "PCGS" era, meaning that worn circulation pieces will lose interest, and take the series down with it. After awhile, the high grade certified coins will take the forefront and be the collector focus. I see that happening with the Buffalos now. They are a unique American coin with a great look and solid fundimentals. High grade well struck coins have always been scarce, plus the Buffalos have the added feature of having both matte proof and brilliant proofs within the series. Trophy coins and errors exist also.
