What is the story behind the multicolor toned Ikes arising from the "Pea....k" hoard?

SanctionIISanctionII Posts: 12,682 ✭✭✭✭✭
I just looked at the James Sego registry set of Ikes. Some have multicolored toning and the notation "Pea....k" hoard. I have heard of this hoard but do not know the story behind it.

Anyone care to eductate me? Thanks, SanctionII.

There exists an old thread somewheres with a lot of speculation...theories...and guesses.

Try searching for peakok? or pkok??

Yes, what is the story of the Peacock hoard? I've heard about Peacock Ikes for some time but have not seen a picture of a Peacock Ike lately.
