2008 SAE errors-just an opinion!!!

OK, my turn for the conspiracy theory........
Since 1999, when the state quarter started, there has been at least 1 "error" found in every new series to come out.
First, some perfectly formed extra leaves accidently made their way onto the Wisc. quarter, and some actually fell off!! (must have been made in the fall). What happened?? A mad rush to buy and buy, not just the coins already in collector's hands, but from the MINT.
Then, somebody forgot to roll a few buckets of presidential dollars to the edge lettering machine. Then, to make up for that booboo, he rolled the buckets through the machine twice!!!! What happened??? A mad rush to buy and buy.
Now, in a series which hasn't had a single error of any kind in 23 years (that I know of) suddenly has had an underpaid mint worker "forget" to change the dies from 2007 to 2008. What has this caused??? A mad rush to buy and buy..........
In my humble and uneducated opinion, these 3 errors alone have assured the mint that people will be buying their products until they bleed in the hope that one may have an undiscovered "error"
BTW, just wait until they start making the new Lincolns!!!!!
Just some thoughts on some of these crazy prices for certain coins/series!!!

People make mistakes and machines break.
That all that there is to it!

The more different things you try to do, the more errors you make. This eagle error has resulted in huge returns and a huge headache for the mint. I'm guessing some manager will lose her bonus over it. As for the presidents, I've posted here before the the 2 step process was predestined for errors. No smoothies the last couple of presidents could mean they've switched over to the advertised one step process.

You don't know that this has not happened before. They could have used reverse dies from prior years before this year but since there were no hub changes (until this year) you'd likely never know the difference.
First ASE error in 23 years?......1st significant die change in 23 years.
The errors are accidental, but mark the calendar - in 12 to 14 months from now we'll have the next one.

Coinspiracy or collectable error due to the mints oversight. It is surely a onetime eye-catcher for a collector to zoom in on the error of the mint to issue reverse changes in the same year.A great collectable....for the SAE collectors.....
I feel sorry for those who bought high and think these will hold value.

<< <i>As I said in my opening, I'm saying absolutely for sure that these were on purpose but as an example, the extra leaves on the Wisc quarter were "perfect". They could not have been an accident. Also, I don't think that the errors were planned at the "top" but perhaps some workers having a bit of fun.

I believe that I heard that the Wisconsin extra leaf errors were actually caused by a mint employee who wanted to leave his mark on coinage before he retired. I'm sure the mint was not very happy about it.
