Set Registry - V2

There haven't been a lot of threads about the new Registry System...

I will be the 1st to admit that I haven't spent too much time messing with it...but it really $UCK$!!

I have cards that "don't belong in any set"...the systems says I have 5 that match this criteria, but only lists 4...yet they are clearly listed in the composite...there are no options to get them off of the list and into my registry. I have new cards that I am trying to add, but it says that they are already part of my registry, but they don't show up in the composite. There are few if any options to forward info to customer service to have them take a look.

Does anyone see a big benefit with the new system?? Are there training courses for the new system?? Am I an idiot (this one is rhetorical, so don't answer it, I think it was covered in an earlier thread, anyway).

What do you all think?

samspop... Ya, I'm not a big fan of V2 either... yet.
Very cumbersome thus far, and LOTS of hoops to jump through to get the same things done that used to be much simpler. I'm sure I'll grow used to it, and wonder how I was ever able to survive without it.

I just wished they would add requested cards quicker than the 2-4 months it takes them now. How hard can that possibly be?

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!

I've immersed myself in it and scanned a bunch of new stuff it - it's excellent. In a month, you'll love it - guaranteed.

New player sets as well! Almost 1 year and NO J.R. Richard player set.

Back to the original topic. It does take some getting used to, but after you get the hang of it, it's much smoother than V1.

Adding pictures is better. The quick add/delete is great. The "showcase" has more options. Just the fact that you can keep an inventory of your cards whether they're in a set or not is a good thing for all of us.

There are a few bugs to work out, but it will be done. Email them when you come across one. Same thing happenned on the coin side the first few weeks. You will love it, once they work out the few problems that re showing up.

Same here Mike. What is the deal with that anyway? I have one card "that does not match my set" but the card is listed as part of the set. It has been part of the set for a couple years now ever since I had it added. I don't get it.

On smaller sets, the clean up from the V1 to V2 changeover is not that great, but I have over 1600 cards in the McGwire Master Set. I have already seen errors within the composite where cards are in the wrong place and have cancelled out the correct cards that were there. It will be a daunting task to say the least. The clean up on these sets, based on the errors I have seen so far, can only be handled via email...copy/paste, copy/paste, send the email and hope that the error is fixed...I am sure in time, it will be cleaned up, but finding the time to get started, not sure where that is gonna come from.
