Is there a online reference to Talon Head Ike's with pics?

CoinHuskerCoinHusker Posts: 5,033 ✭✭✭
Notlogical has had so much fun cherry picking FEV's at local shows, (he's found 2 so far) I thought as a long as he's looking through IKE's he might enjoy looking for talon head's too.

If there isn't an online reference, is there one in print?

Thanks in advance.

I recall when Ikes were first released. I was just 13 at the time, they seemed really LARGE at the time (not that they aren't now, but to a 13 year old, they just seemed bigger).
Even though I had a few Morgans and Peace dollars at the time, there was nothing like jingling a bunch of Ikes without concern.

Ahh to go back and buy a bunch of Ike rolls from the bank and put them away!!!!

Here is a proposed grading standard for Talon Head Die Clashed IKEs on the CONECA web site.

It's a 9 mb file so it takes some time to load but you can then save it to your PC for printing and reference.

It also has some really great photographs which explain the clashing process.

The ANA has the ANA JOURNAL Volume 1, Number 4 Winter of 2006 available for $16.95 plus S+H which explains the IKE Groups analysis on the Talon Head coins.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

  • CoinHusker, I have been tardy opening up our IKE GROUP's Web Site from which all of our published articles (we'll be up to 9 or 10 by Mid Summer) can be downloaded.

Aside from my Internet technical incompetence, the ever increasing rip-tide of new Ike discoveries keeps pulling me under, LOL!

SHAMELESS PLUG: If you are interested in Ikes, please consider attending my "NEW IKES" Workshop Aug 1 at the Baltimore ANA convention: I will be holding nothing back and have several killing new revelations to convey. I'm told there are only 20 seats available and it's first-come, first-serve. Rob
