I thought PCGS reserved the "Genuine" designation for the extrme rarities?

  There was a thread going on about the use of the word rare...like i said on that one, i think you have to take a step back from what everyone here sees as "rare" because you all are exposed to so many truly amazing coins on such a regular basis.

  I may be wrong but I had thought that if your coin was body bagged but genuine, you could submit it again and have it slabbed in a "genuine" holder without grade.

  The first purpose of the various services is to determine authenticity. Everything after that is fluff that can be done by any collector willing to take the time and interest to learn.

  I noticed a few days ago how there were 3 or 4 (IIRC) of their inventory had 'genuine' holders.

  Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!
