Guess the grade and Overton # on this 1828 CBH......GRADE REVEALED IN FIRST POST.

This 1828 O-107 is in a new blue style ANACS holder graded XF-45..........Do you think PCGS will cross it to 45?

    Edited to XF-40. Nice eye appeal. Neat coin.

    I'll go with a generous XF-45...... I'm not sure about the toning, though... it's nice and crusty, but I'd like it better with a bit more colors.....

    40-45 assuming there is some luster left...Not too keen on the look of the coin though. I like crusty, but not splotchy, which is what the picture makes the coin look like.
    Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!

    I don't know the OVERTON variety numbers. It looks like a curl base , knob 2 with small letters.

    Quick guess before bed, O-107? I can't tell if die cracks are present or not.

    Mark is correct. It is the O-107 Curl Base , Knob 2 variety.

    Tough one IMHO, buy I will guess it's on the cusp of an AU.............I'll say a 50.

    PCGS 40. I can't say I like the toning, so not so good on eye appeal. Sorry.
    I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
