  • I know. Some really nice green holdered coins. But there are plenty of non-green holdered coins in this auction as well that are worth a look.

Are we sure that this is a legitimately unsearched "collection" of green tags where the good upgrade coins were not already pulled out? Doesn't appear to me that TT is the best place to realize top dollar for shot upgrade coins considering the quality of the photos you have to look at. Or are dealer's personal accumulations of also-ran green tags being salted in for disposition in an increasingly fussy market? Anyone today could put together a pile of rattlers and green tags in a fairly short time period and claim quality. Dealers are collectors too so stating that they are collector's collections could have multiple meanings. Seeing is believing. A casual look at the early MS65 coppers didn't prove anything one way or the other though the RB's looked more BN than RD. Nothing in 19th century silver type coins.
