Karma... Whatever You Do, Comes Back to You

BroadstruckBroadstruck Posts: 30,497 ✭✭✭✭✭
Semi OT, but I had to share it!

Life can be a trip full of unexpected surprizes...

In January I took a few hours out of my work day to find a $20 Saint for another members 7070, and later that day 3 - $20 bills where blown at my feet by the wind in a huge mostly vacant parking lot.

Last night I get an off the wall email for a non numismatic antique just sitting in my living room... now I haven't actively promoted it being for sale since the last quarter of 2007.

The email just basically stated "Hi remember me I'm a friend of your friend, and heard you may still have an item I want for sale and I'd like to buy it!"

So this morning I woke up to a very serious paypal payment, and to be completely honest these are my favorite emails! image

I have always been pretty lucky in life.... and feel that this once again is maybe Karma for the YN Contest image

I hope that everyone how has contributed to the contest will also realize that Karma is watching! image

  • Karma is real.

    Cool stories.
  • I believe there is something to it. Whether it is just the fact that an act of kindness boosts your self-esteem or something tangible...

I recently started a new career as a high school science teacher. I was looking for full-time employment, but in the meantime I took a position as a full-time substitute for a campus close to home. I fully expected to be hired on as a permanent teacher the following year, but there were still the formalities of interviewing (something about having to have at least three candidates considered for all open positions). Well my neighbor was having a garage sale and gave me one of his ties for good luck/karma. Wouldn't you know it, the department head wanted someone with more teaching experience and passed me over the first round. I then sent out my resume and quickly got hired at an alternative high school campus that I simply LOVE!! Also turned out that after not selling any of his ties at the garage sale, he turned around and listed them on EBay - and made about 10X more than he was asking at the garage sale. Things have ways of happening, whether you believe in karma, fate, luck, destiny, etc.

Were they green and white with a picture of Andrew Jackson? I lost 3 $20 bills in January and I think you may have found them. PM me for my mailing address. image

I don't want to jinx myself, but I'm leaving in an hour, or so, to buy a car and I hope I can get a good price and that my interest rate is low image

It's always nice to give and help to make someones day a little brighter.

Karma is real and will come back to help me out.

I am a strong believer in karma. Knowing that we are electrical beings, with positive and negative charges needed for life--your heart cant go on without those pulses. Anyways, i see life as positive and negative, and if you try to live it positively, positive energy seems to follow you...and good things just seem to happen.

Negatively....well...I dont want to be collecting negatives

I have found power in the mysteries of thought.

It is always a question of knowing and seeing, and not that of believing.

Our virtues, and our failings are inseparable, like force, and matter. When they separate, man is no more.

Karma is a bunch of superstitious nonsense. I don't see how anyone with a scientific education can believe such crap. I do believe in doing the right things in life but I don't expect to be necessarily rewarded for it at some later date.

Some things are better left unsaid. As you may notice.

However, in hopes of restoring other's faith. Here is a coin :

Perryhall, it's not about expecting to be rewarded, no crossing your fingers with hope... it's just good stuff that happens. image
