INDIAN HEAD GENIUSES: Explain this to me
What am I missing here? This coin sold for 74K 8 months ago....and this isn't a case of PCGS vs. NGC!!
So what gives? Why am I the high bid? I'll take it!
  I'll take it!

<< <i>This lot is in: Floor Session >>
Internet bidding ends at 10:00PM CT the night before the floor session for this lot. During the live auction event, bidding in person is encouraged, and Heritage Live includes streaming audio and often video during the event.
that means no one will bid only by internet, unless they are very serious.
I have found power in the mysteries of thought.
It is always a question of knowing and seeing, and not that of believing.
Our virtues, and our failings are inseparable, like force, and matter. When they separate, man is no more.

This is a Snow-2
NGC still lists this as 1888/887 but about ten years ago Lakesamman proved that it is actually 1888/1888.

I need something for my set and I certainly can't afford the S-1!
That's all it was...no interest in the coin.

Not really. I know a major dealer that made the same mistake maybe five years ago, but the price was much higher. Tough way to learn.

Visit the Society of US Pattern Collectors at USPatterns.com.
I'll just flip it if I get it.
So you may be saved by a higher bidder.
However,
An AU-58 sold for only $1,850 in DLRC Richmond collection just 2 moths later 11/04:1030
