Wasn't "Gomme Balloune" the test Paul Atredies had to take in Dune?

Your 2 best are Higgins (although I see a print defect above Cardinals) and McRae, but both could get an OC (for the top to bottom) from a tough grader.

yeah.. the mcrae is nice.. for sure...
the 2nd best is bob miller..
and then higgins... higgins has some corner issues.. not sure what to call them
could probably press it in a case and be fine.. there is no bends in the paper...
amazing to see how bright white they are

Agree with Nick. Anytime you see the name plate that low on the card, you're bound to get an OC. The Higgins is the only card I think where you're safe from getting an OC for T/B centering. My experience is that PSA is fairly tolerant of print defects on this issue as long as they aren't too distracting, same with corners (as long as there are no dings), as OPC production issues make finding a sharp cornered card virtually impossible (unless it's sheet cut or they just happened to change the airplane wire between shifts). Unfortunately, the cards that are centered best T/B are OC L/R. Sharp cards, though, and definitely an authentic pack as Splitorff and Miller are always in the same pack.

Go fot it! You already know these packs are authentic, so you've got a great shot at pulling a mint card, and the 72 OPC collectors are more avid than any other OPC set in the '70s!

    GOOD LUCK!

Handsome bunch of fellas so far. They could have all been on the '86 Celtics.

the 2nd card I looked at was a 2nd paul splitorff.. how anti climactic

I was hoping you'd fare better with the second pack, but these early OPC issues are brutal for centering and condition. Very undervalued, IMO. Where else can you buy a GAI 9 1972 pack for less than 50 bucks?
