Whats going on with ebay feedback?

What the heck man...I was looking forward to watching my feedback going from 4999 to 5000. Well, I just looked to see where I was at and it shows 7 thousand something.

Are they calculating feedback different or is this just some error?

mine too, i went from 755 to 777, lucky numbers for me though! odd

They have changed the way they calculate the feedback ratings... you can now get credit for repeat buyers and buying from the same sellers... feedback for transactions in different weeks will count... so, if I buy an item from you Wednesday and then buy another item from you next Wednesday, and I leave a feedback for both of those transactions, both will count towards your feedback rating...

There are 5 or 6 other threads discussing the same thing.

They are counting multiple feedback from buyers that are more than a week apart.

Yes, mine just went from 193 to 202. I knew I'd find a good explanation (more concise and to the point) of it here.

You guys want to hear something REALLY funny? There are two threads on the Powerseller forum yelling and screaming that eBay cheated these sellers with this new feeback change. Why? Because they got their shooting stars sooner than they'd planned. One of them from a 100,000 plus feedback seller has the title "I feel raped by eBay". I kid you not!

Thats a little extreme, but I do sorta feel a little cheated...I was really looking forward to seeing it turn to 5,000. I was even thinking of doing a guessing thread giveaway.

From about 1800 to 3230 and I have all but lost interest in eBay. There was a time that I looked at select items for sale on a daily basis but I doubt if I do it monthly anymore. Few good deals to be had today on eBay IMHO.

Whats going on with ebay feedback?
