It's official. No more negative feedback to buyers. Above is the seller header on the feedback page.
And also all the transactions previous for which feedback hadn't been left yet, those also changed as well. If you have been in a heated problem with a buyer, and no feedback has been left yet, consider yourself to almost certainly be getting a neg.
Ebay to me seems a little out of control right now, yet their stock price has been rising.
Just because you call someone an a-hole doesn't mean they're going to up and grow a conscience.
like shoelessjoejackson (kevin burge) get theirs for charging a ghost insurance scam
get his.

ALOT of the scamster-sellers will soon be gone.
BUT, until EBAY makes it impossible for the crooks to register a new ID,
many of the bad guys will keep coming back.
Scamster-buyers will now become the primary problem.
ANY seller that falls below 95% CSR - in any 30-day period - is now subject to a 30-day suspension.
(Neutrals = Negs.) Not all such sellers will be suspended; some will only be warned. ALL will have their
PayPal payments held.
I can adjust to any scheme that allows me to make money. Some new folks will not be able to play.
buyers will be at little risk.
The newest/pending crop of Mantle scamsters should be out of business.
We will see more and more "reputable" sellers offering junk Mantles that
were purchased wholesale from scammers. Many sellers cannot even identify
a tampered slab; they will be passing-on their mistakes.
Please explain this to me.
Just checked my score and the one auction I'm running.
15 minutes ago, my total feedback was 3164 at 99.6%
It is now 4421 with 100%. I'm assuming it's from the repeat
buyers, but my overall before was in the mid 5500. I'm not complaining, I just don't
understand it.
<< <i>All of your previous feedback from multiple transactions with the same buyer are now added into your total score. >>
cool. mine went from 477 to 537

Repeat customers are being added in, today. The process will take several
days to complete.
New % is based on 12-months; not lifetime. That is why you went from
99.6 to 100.
I'll wait and see how all this goes b4 I make any statements.

I noticed Bargainland has not sold anything in a while on Ebay. I wonder how import-export-co and a few others will survive myself.
It will be interesting, as others have said, to check in on some of our less stellar sellers to see how they fare under the new feedback system.

It's just unfortunate that none of them are on this planet.
<< <i>Ebay has become a big joke. Not only do sellers have no protection any longer, but Ebay continues to rake in more cash with the so-called new fees to help Ebay sellers. WOW they dropped the listing fees a couple of cents, but forgot to tell everyone they raised the final value fees up 5 to 8% or whatever it is. So now we all save 5 cents off the listing and get charged an additional $5 $10 $15 or whatever it might be in final value fees. To me that sounds like Ebay fattening their pockets, not helping sellers reduce cost. >>
Nobody is forcing anyone to sell on Ebay. My sales on Ebay the past 3 months have never been better. As a seller you will adjust or die.
Yup
Steve
It's the sellers that overgrade or oversell their product and service and then underdeliver on said goods and service that are the ones that will get pounded. And the only thing they'll be getting is the sort of feedback they should've been getting all along. Unfortunately, many extorted their feedback ratings by holding back until they received a positive from the buyer. The threat of a retalitory feedback is now gone, so lame sellers will now receive the sort of feedback they should've received eons ago!
I was also surprised when I checked my feedback jump today. It escalated nearly 200 "points" at 100%! However, I am NOT considered a god by any civilization. I'll have to work on that!
The problem is there are just as many if not more scamming buyers out there. This will open the door for them to become more aggressive. Either you give me a refund of 10.00 for this card or I neg you. You will ship it for free or i will neg you. Sellers have no way of warning ithers of these buyers any more.

What are you complaining for? You don't have to use eBay. You don't have to use any service that you are unhappy with. Create you own website. Pay a fortune to advertise, generate traffic, and maintain the site. Eventually, you might even sell something from the site. Or pay the table fees to set up at a local show and see how many people are shelling out significant coin in the basement of the local church or in the back room of the firehouse.
eBay, just like PSA, is a publicly held company and their primary objective is to produce to the bottom line. They aren't particularly worried about their customer (buyers or sellers). They are worried about increasing their revenue and minimizing their expenses.
The increased fees by eBay, and PSA, are to be expected. Gas prices increase almost daily, the postal rates went up again and just about everything is more expensive today that it was a year ago. Expecting eBay to maintain the status quo so that you or anyone else can have more money in their pocket is the least of their worries. Sorry, but those are the facts!

I can understand such a scenario and I'm sure that it happens, but in my nearly 10 years on eBay and through 1000's of transactions, I have NEVER had that situation occur. I have never had a buyer question or complain about ANYTHING I've sold. Maybe I've been lucky and those types don't buy the stuff that I sell. Maybe I've just been lucky enough to have them ignore my auctions.
I'm sure there will come a day when that happens, but if I'm in the right, I'll take the hit. If I'm in the wrong, I'll make it right by the buyer. I still think it's pretty simple and I think many are making mountains out of molehills...
<< <i>Most people just don't like change. >>
Change? I hate change. Especially when there's a lot of it and it's slamming around in my pocket when I'm running somewhere smacking the ol' hackey sack and giblets... That's really something not to like!

Actually, new sellers will NOT get paid before they ship.
PayPal will hold those payments for 21-days.
EBAY will look ALOT different 90-days from now.
/////////////////////////
Personal Notes:
My primary collectible account added about 15% to the total.
100% maintained. (That low increase is a strong testament to my long history
of moving buyers off of EBAY after their FIRST purchase from me.)
My electronics, used clothing, and designer fashion accounts
added about 10% to their totals. ALL fell below 96%. (Selling
used clothing and "hurt" electronics is a different game than
dealing with more-or-less reasonable collectors. NEGs are
part of the biz-model.) Since PayPal has been holding my money
on designer and electronics, there should be no immediate
change to biznez. If they start holding the used-clothing money, so
be it; I ain't giving up a free money deal.
I have not determined how I will play the new FB game. Today, I left a
TON for folks who had not left any for me. We will see how that works,
and adjust if necessary.
I clicked on the link to see where it would take me and it popped up a new window with the following:

It's a nice idea and hopefully sellers will use it if they encounter any of the strange activity that some have been predicting. More importantly, hopefully ebay will actually do something when sellers use this feature.

<< <i>I was happy with my April Ebay sales totaling $6075.00. Then I noticed that my Ebay/Paypal fees totaled $935.00. What a chunk of change, it ends up being over 15% of my gross sales. >>
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
One can buy a TON of google/yahoo ads to send folks to their own
BEAUTIFUL website for that kind of money.
It depends on what you sell, as to whether or not a private site will work.
PayPal will hold those payments for 21-days.
EBAY will look ALOT different 90-days from now.>>
Yup. The problem with the new feedback isn't the banishment of negs from sellers. It's all of the other policies that surround it, such as being suspended or having your paypal funds held if your approval drops below 95% over a 30 day period. And then there's the 'best match' thing (which, BTW, I detest as a *buyer*).
Also, if profits are their main interest, then why base so many rewards/punishments on their frivolous feedback system and those ridiculous little stars? A smarter approach would be to reward sellers with high conversion rates, sales volumes, and/or repeat buyers. It wouldn't be that hard to develop a system to reward the most efficient and profitable sellers. Real businesses do it all the time.
I get the feeling that the people who run ebay have never worked for one.
