SMS fans, have you ever collected SMS coins with Satin or Matte finishes?

1965 - 1967 SMS coins vary greatly in quality and appearance. Some are ugly and some look like Cameo proofs. Many on the forums collect these coins.
I have found some SMS coins that are very high in quality, but they do not have a brilliant proof or Cameo proof look. Instead they have a granular surface present on the entire coin (fields and devices). The granular surface can vary in fineness presenting a Satiny look (with a very fine, smoother, granular surface) or a Matte look (with a less fine, less smooth, granular surface).
I have a 1965 half, a 1965 quarter and a 1965 cent with a Satin and/or Matte appearance. Still looking for a 1965 dime or nickel to complete a 1965 set.
Have any of you SMS fans in forum land seen and/or acquired any of these coins? If so, have you made a year set? How do you like SMS coins of this kind as opposed to those with a brilliant proof or Cameo proof appearance?

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
not among my favorites so I saved only the nice ones. None are really in my
collections.
One of these days I might assemble an SMS variety set with all the different
looks. Most people would be quite surprised at the range of minting techni-
ques displayed by such a set. A 1965 quarter collection with different rever-
ses, finishes and metallic compositions would be a real wonder to behold. It
was a pretty spectacular year considering there was a date freeze in effect
and only "one" quarter was supposed to be made.

As I recall, I bought (2) of each of the SMS Sets - 1965, 1966 and 1967. I must have sold them when I was in college to get some cash. I never knew that there was so much variation within a single year's production until I saw the Cameos being posted here.
This forum has rekindled my curiosity about these coins. I'm sneaking up on a few ebay auctions for SMS Sets now and then, just for fun. At some point, I'll survey just what I've accumulated. These are interesting coins. JMO.
I knew it would happen.

I know. The G/F found the one I bought recently. She is not a collector but immediately saw that that Kennedy had "the Look".
Oh yea, at the same show she cherried a silver Proof Bicentennial quarter with over a 90% die rotation. She bought that 3pc. set.
Shes doing better than me at the shows!
