I guess the old saying applies "it never hurts to ask." The seller responded to my email that I sent him requesting that I receive the refund prior to shipping it back and he said he will be mailing out my refund. It may be premature to say this BUT, kudos to this seller for doing the "right thing." Proper procedure and protocal is one thing.....doing the right thing is THE right thing to do. If I had low or questionable feedback...I can see him not agreeing to this, but as I stated before, I acted in good faith and I am glad he is returning the favor.
Its pretty amazing in almost 400 ebay transactions, this is the first time that I had this issue occur. Thanks to everyone who offered their opinions in these unchartered waters for me.
At one point I even asked what we were arguing about then?
And yes i'm sure you heard alot about me, funny thing we all heard alot about you too.

Ah, good ole Stevie...ever ready to try and argue with anyone just for the sake of arguing. I can't help it if you're reading comprehension skills are lacking. I never changed my opinion....nor do I need to re-read what I said. I said it. I didn't change my opinion...I clarified it. Big difference in adult speak.
Now, same as I told someone the other day...I am not looking to derail the OP's thread. That's more your spead. But if you wish to continue this, feel free to PM. You can have every opportunity to say what you feel like saying to me there.

Glad to hear that went smoothly. Hopefully he follows through.
Whatever Jay, I know what you said and when you said it. You mentioned paypal 3 or 4 posts in after Craig mentioned it.
I was simply advising, one, that refunds are given AFTER items are returned, and two, that this seller clearly did not do a bait and switch like you stated.
I will allow you the last word as I am done with you.
You are too thick for me.
Yes I understand that after you posted 4 times you finally mentione paypal. I am not slow I saw that from the get go.
Now reply one last time and we are done.
Add me to your list of people that can't stand you now.
Mistakes happen. I really think that folks compound problems by overthinking the situation. If you treat everyone as a crook, you will lose a lot of transactions, a helluva lot of fun and a bunch of sleep - it is debateable if you will save significant dinero. If you treat everyone with due respect, you WILL occasionally get burnt, but will have many more successful transactions which will outweigh (both in $$$ and peace of mind) the bad eggs.

Agreed, either that, or make sure when you change your opinion state it as such.

<< <i>I thought I was rather clear. Next time I'll take the time to spell things out slower as to not confuse anyone.

I guess this was a non-PayPal transaction.
Hopefully, the guy will send the refund.
This is the first time I have ever heard of a seller sending a refund b4 he got the item back.
My advise now to Ryan is if after 10 days he did not get the refund he should file with paypal.
He does after all have 45 days to do that from the time he paid.
Steve
<< <i>Storm, Ryan said in his post that he paid via paypal within 10 minutes of the auctions end.
