  Better idea if your wanting mint cards is to buy them already graded via Ebay. Most raw cards you find will be 8s even under the BGS lax standards.

  It's a great idea, and that is what I started to do once I came to these boards. Before that, I was just ripping away at random blasters from Walmart and not getting anything other than the occasional game used card. If you save the $20+ that you spend on blasters alone, you'll have enough money to buy some NICE autos after saving up for a little bit. I still buy hobby boxes every now and then, just for fun, but that's about a 2-3 time a year occurence.
  
  I also agree with the previous post that you should buy some of the cards already graded. Most of the time, you just can't tell the condition of cards from a simple ebay scan.

  Ripping wax in search of specific card, unless it is a standard base card, is a losing proposition (unless you have the luck of Zep). No doubt you will come out ahead financially just picking up the Agassi auto on eBay.
