1952 Berk Ross question regarding centering.

Hi...

Which 1952 Berk Ross Dimaggio would be considered better centered? Is the lower border supposed to be the same size as the top border as in the first picture or is the lower border supposed to be the same size as the left and right border as in the second picture?

If you had worded this different - you woulda walked right into: I think ya have a wrong back card there - why is Joe D's picture on Berk Ross's card?

I was expecting a scan of a Yogi card.

The one on the left looks better to me. Great looking card BTW- thats the first time I ever saw that card.

I don't understand what the guys are talking about regarding Yogi and the Berk Ross, but those are some really nice looking cards. I'm not sure about the centering preferences but from common eye appeal, I'd take the one on the left.

    Goot...

It has to do with a thread that some started looking for a Yogi Berra card. It goes like this:

Poster #1: "I'm looking for any Yogi Berra cards." Poster #2: "I've got a PSA 5 '51 Berk Ross." Poster #1: " No thanks - I'm only interested in Berra."

Thanks for the replies, but I'm not really sure anyone understood my question. Let me see if I can clarify or confuse the issue even more.

I'm not asking about eye appeal or which card looks better as far as surface or other defects go. I'm asking how these cards where actually designed to look as far as centering goes. Is the top border supposed to be bigger and the other 3 borders smaller, but the same size or is the card design supposed to be centered top to bottom?

    Thanks again...Donato

Just look on the registry and see how various ones are graded, that should help. Of course, that assumes that PSA has it right. I have no idea.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already did that and no one has photos of their cards for the 1952 Berk Ross set.
