Question about crossing a 1/1 pop coin
I have a coin graded by NGC that I was thinking of sending to PCGS but don't know the ropes good enough to make a decision . . . hoping I can get some opinions or advice.
It is a very unusual - Population 1/1 modern coin
2005-D Bison nickel/Westward Journey Business Strike - NGC MS66 PL
--- and I don't see that PCGS has this category in their population report. I am not sure if they don't have it listed because:
a.) they have not graded any, or
b.) they do not grade them like this. (PL)
So my questions are:
a.) Does PCGS grade this type coin in business strike as PL?
b.) If so, what would you do? Would you try to cross it.
3.) How do I determine the value for this coin if there are no others? If you can help me do that, please post it here - or shoot me a PM.
It is truly PL. There are two other PL's graded by NGC, but they are MS65.
thanks

Not in all of the same categories that NGC does

I would probably leave it as is, unless I needed the coin to be in PCGS plastic.

Check for realized prices on ebay. There could be a huge difference or no difference at all.

No... but I like your way of thinking!
<< <i>can I request an MS67 grade ... err I mean put that in as lowest grade accepted? heh
No... but I like your way of thinking!
Been awhile since I have sent a coin to pcgs for crossover but the place to put a min grade to cross at used to be blank and you could put any grade you wanted.
Has that changed?

Has that changed?
The highest minimum grade for crossover can only be the grade of the coin itself. For example, if you are crossing an ms66, the highest minimum grade you can put down is ms66, not ms67.
