grote15grote15 Posts: 30,188 ✭✭✭✭✭
Off to a good start today...lots of key hits up and down the lineup and a dominating debut by Santana and the bullpen. Could not have hoped for a better way to get the season going!!

Let's Go Mets!!

That sure was a classic Series, maybe the most exciting ever (though I am admittedly biased). Bring it on! image

When I said yesterday that I wasn't sure how long Pedro would hold up, I meant for a season, not a game, LOL! As a Met fan, anything Pedro provides is gravy. Counting on him is foolish, and the Mets will win the East with or without him in the rotation.

I'm starting to sound like Steve...

The Mets mercenary players don't want to play in no extra inning games. They figure they're gettin' paid to work a maximum 162 games, with a maximum 9 innings per game and that's it. They don't want to play in no extra innings, they don't want to play in no playoffs because the little extra money isn't good enough and don't mean nothing to them, and they especially don't want to play in no World Series in colder weather when they could be out on their large yachts off their huge winter homes in Palm Springs or the Riviera.

Reyes, Wright, Maine, yeah the Mets are all mercenaries, LOL. Surprised you don't use the old payroll argument, too, oh wait, the Sillies have one of the top payrolls in the league now, too, their highest ever, if I'm not mistaken...they must have a few of those mercenaries over there, too...LOL!!

Petey is damaged goods. That 4th year for Pedro was essentially a retirement bonus.

pedro signing was huge for the mets. bc it bought in alot of the latin talent. they now have i think there own field or some kinda thing down in the dominican.

he will be back this year and pitch fine for the playoff run. he is a free agent next year but i think mets will let him walk and turn all there attention to resign olliver perez.

perez wont be cheap since he is with boras. and hes only 26 lhp that hits 96mph. id think 12 mil a year is what it will take.

Sorry, welchers and bandwagon fans (Stalin) are prohibited from posting on this thread.

You are free, however, to create your own corny and ridiculous threads to which no one even posts or responds...you're awfully good at that at least!

Note to Steve: Chirping when your team is still under .500 is not a great idea...
