<< <i>Very nice set. I personally like your 1895 and 1912. Now i know who is ahead of me. I am number 9 over there (14mins) I show 90 percent complete minus the 13. Joined the collectors corner for the 5 free grades. and i need to send my raw ones in to be certified and added to show 100 percent. I have a chance to move to number 7 but no higher. How long did you spend building your set? How are your pics done? I am going to send in all my proofs in at the same time i send the raw ones in and have them all reholdered and cross over the few pcgs ones. I was planning on having NGC take the pics but i do not think they will look as nice as the way you have done yours. Those top 3 sets are serious money to me over there . Makes mine look like i had pocket change slabbed.
Congrats on your set too! That must feel like a great accomplishment. FYI, I believe (as do others that have used their service) that NGC's photo service is strictly for those that intend to use the photos for insurance policy proof, and that sort of thing. They seem to use a flatbed scanner, and scan the whole slab. The pictures don't turn out that well, but they also only charge $3 each. For photographing proofs of this caliber, i'd also recommend Mark Goodman, Bob Campbell or Bruce Lee; all very nice forum members.

How long to complete set? Did you have a goal of 65's in mind? A budget? If so how did you do? I spent 2 years on mine (still need to change out 2 coins IMO) spent more than intended. I would have liked to gone 65's and better but my funds did not allow. I decided to go no lower than 63 cameo designated on the label. Most of mine are 64's. I sprinkled in a NGC 66, 67 and 2 PCGS 65's in the mix.The 63 cameos always seem as good or better than a lot of 64's to me. 85 percent of mine i bought the coin and not the holder, ( i had to do a lot of returning from ebay, mail order, catalog, DLRC and heritage when i could not always get proofs at the shows in person) feel some would upgrade. I went as tone free as possible on most.

SpaceMonkey, I'd be interested in knowing some of this as well. I've always liked this design, and your set is an amazing inspiration!
I knew it would happen.

This set goes back to 2006.... Goal was 65 or better... seems to be a nice divider line for me anyways... though, eye appeal is always on my mind. Budget... well... hummm.... next question....
I would like to replace the 1885 one day as the carbon spot on the REV bugs me sometimes.
