The future is a long time, so who really knows for sure? But right here and now, I expect I won't.
    When in doubt, don't.

If the market decides the DGS holder adds more premium than another holder to something I plan to sell, certainly. Submitters are the TPG's only paying customers, and they only pay the fee when it makes sense to do so.

Why not give them the benefit of doubt

1 submission of coins that have been graded and cracked, put into a dansco is what I'm gonna try.

oh- 3 of the 5 will be PCGS, the other 2 will be NGC's.

If they match or do better- well then we will post the pics of those sent in before and after for this board to see.

Its only money right guys? (girls included)

I don't like them in a plane or on a train.
I don't like them in a box or with a fox.
I don't like green eggs and ham.

I didn't submit to them before the market sorted their little red wagon out, I won't submit to them after the broken pieces are stitched together into yet another mosaic of dubios worth.

PCGS, NGC and NCS (in that order) are the only TPGs I use. That's based on their reputation.

I might buy a DGS graded coin (or anyone else's) if I like the look of the coin, but if I were going to keep it, I'd reslab it.

But I'm guessing they won't need my business anyway. Maybe they can garner some of th late night television coin business. I hear America is hungry for over-graded over-priced garbage.

    RECAP

PCI was bought by the folks at David Lawrence Rare Coins

John the owner felt that the PCI name would be hard to keep in light of past grading/market perception

hence the new name DGS Dominion Grading Service

    DGS will start May 1

Pros... 1. coins will be photo! Pics available online
    2. Problem Coins will be holdered in Red
    3. Large Company behind Product

    Cons:
Dominion why that - it means... dominance or power through legal authority ???

I cant say that I will be a submitter but I will take a wait and see attitude and give them a chance... like all of us dont think that a good company cant help the coin market....

I am a happy customer of DLRC, but while I learned long ago to never say never, I can't imagine ever submitting coins to DGS. -Preussen

"Old Dominion": Virginia remained loyal to the English crown during the English Civil War and during Cromwell years (mid 1600's). When King Charles II regained the throne (1660), he gave Virginia the nickname the "Old Dominion."
