I've been saving up for the coin show in Milan, Illinois (northwestern Illinois) this Sunday. It's always a nice show with a youth auction, 40 dealers, displays and door prizes. There is always a lot of nice material at this show. Monday I stopped by my local dealers....he had just purchased a large collection....Yep! Dropped a tidy sum but did pick up a NGC 1880 S MS65* Morgan, a nice raw MS63 1890 Morgan and a ANACS 1895 O Morgan in EF 40.
My budget is limited now, but still have enough for a PCGS MS64 or MS65 1947 D Walking Liberty Half if I can find one. That will complete my slabbed short set!
If you're in the area, stop by the show and ask for Pete, the guy who has the Bix Biederbecke coin display. The show is at the community center just south of Milan on Route 67. There are signs marking this show which is hosted by the Quad City Coin Club.
Best wishes, Pete
