  Looks like we got a young collector coming up here. I know at that age they want lots of coins, but if I had $75.00 I would spend it on one or 2 nice coins! Cool Coins! I like the 55-D QTR!

  When my daughter first showed a real interest in collecting she really went for those type of "collector sets"... for a few reasons: They look nice, they are "complete" (unlike the albums), you can handle them & share with friends (they are protected).... but most importantly to her - they had INFORMATION with them. I think they are a great starting point!

  At B&M prices that is quite a lot for $75.

  Not a bad haul... I think when you're just starting out, you should go for quantity as well as quality -- even though in the long haul it's probably better to spend that $75 on just one coin, it's not quite as satisfying to a kid.

  Regardless of age, it is all about what is satisfying to the owner. Some may be satisfied with a top-pop type set, while others may be satisfied with a low ball date/mm complete US set. The possibilities are endless, but the satisfaction is what matters.

  A nice assortment for the money. One nice coin would probably bore him after awhile. He's got a decent variety of coins to look at and study.

  The multi-coin holder with the SBA coins is very interesting. Here everyone thought NGC was the first company to do this. If you do not mind someone being nosey, how much was that SBA set?

  The SBA set was $15. He said the same price he gets for comparable raw sets.
