What's your take

The new Buffalo celebration coin for about $200.00 more than a regular buff. Also has no mintage amount, but it does come in a new fancy red box.

    It's a very expensive box.

my take is that the mint thinks collectors are a cash cow and they will continue
to milk the cow until the modern market crashes. once no one buys the stuff prices
will drop on their offerings to a sane level. also the amount of stuff will slow down
    to a trickle.

anything labeled collectible almost always never becomes valuable in our lifetimes.
it is like the touch of death with that label on it.

lucky one who put an order in before they raised the prices - bought it for $1018 - not even concerned about the box it comes in - I treat it as bullion - another oz of gold to my holdings - if needed, nice to give as a gift, which I believe was the intent of the coin in the first place - probably would not buy now - way overpriced - better to buy common date gold or bullion eagles.
