That's about as fast as I've seen with the Mint hitting my cc -- almost immediate. This bodes well for success. Maybe they are finally getting caught up after all the ordering fiascos this year.
Couldn't resist adding a few more of these to the collection -- had to sell a few of last year's to make room...
Are the 2008-W's being released Monday with the Silver Eagles?
Refs: MCM,Fivecents,Julio,Robman,Endzone,Coiny,Agentjim007,Musky1011,holeinone1972,Tdec1000,Type2,bumanchu, Metalsman,Wondercoin,Pitboss,Tomohawk,carew4me,segoja,thebigeng,jlc_coin,mbogoman,sportsmod,dragon,tychojoe,Schmitz7,claychaser, Bullsitter, robeck, Nickpatton, jwitten, and many OTHERS
So.....depending what will happen on Monday, will the Mint pull these? If gold goes up in the Asia market, these will be a good buy.
What does everyone think?

I'm telling you.....there will be little gold minted this year by the Mint. Even less, if any more at all, of platinum. I'm buying now because, IMHO, the mintages are going to be the lowest ever for both.

Are you sure? I can't see the US Mint ever losing money. They may just, or may have already, instituted a no returns policy on bullion. I would if I ran the Mint.

I have been a collector for over mumbly-five years. I learn something new every day.

30 day return policy and in the spot giving a reason,"changed my mind " is an acceptable option....just takes forever to get your money back
Must have been hit hard in the last 24 hours, the fact that the 1/4 and 1/10 are still available means it is probably not a pricing issue...just sold out. It will be interesting to see how the mintages change from last week

<< <i>I ordered 20 on 3-5 lets see if they honor them, I placed another other for 10 more. >>
You can still order the Set of Uncirculated's and they will instantly pre-charge your CC! Better bet for those that want a "closer assurance."

Will that price be re-calculated?
Has the premium ever been $4.78 or less?
If silver continues to go up tonight and tomorrow, I expect the price to jump.

So the question is, will people be tempted to cancel their mint orders?
I was debating canceling one of the pieces I ordered, but decided not to. Anyone else debating?

i expected it (gold price) to skip around a wee bit anyway after piercing and landing above $1K,
what would really scare me if gold was up $200 today...even if the mint would honor my order, which i am not canceling....
<< <i>The 1 ounce is currently $50 over melt
The 1/2 ounce is currently $30 over melt
The 1/4 ounce is currently $30 over melt
The 1/10 ounce is currenly $20 over melt

My guess is that will not hold long and the dollar will go back down and gold will continue to rise.
<< <i>Cancelled my orders , the percentage spread got too high , now cheaper to buy from apmex/tulving/monex etc >>
I cancelled mine last night. I'm watching from the sideline for the time being. I think gold will drop some more.
