Last post about new pictures of my MPLs. My 1913.

Bob finished my last (of 4) MPLs tonight and I am just floored at how great they came out. In case you missed the others, here are the links.

  • That is awesome!
  • I'm floored by them too. Great color and light! Also, you really get a sense of the space between the coin and the plastic of this particular slab. There's no mistaking what's on the slab (or the fibers behind it) as being part of the coin.

I think youre going to find that polishing the slab is step one to making great photos. I use Mothers Plastic Polish from the auto parts store, One drop on some folded up toilet paper (clean) and rub longways, up and down, on the slab, never on an angle or circles. You might need to buff 100 or more strokes, but it will take all this scratching and haze off any slab and improve the look of the picture 100 percent.
