Why isn't silver at $30.00/ounce already?

Just does not seem fair (to me personally since I have the "right" to see my silver immediately increase in value; I know my "right" is located somewhere in the Constitutionimage).

  • Actually Sanction ll it is your right but unfortunately since
I have a right to $40 an ounce silver you get bumped back
    down to $20. Sorry.

You simply haven't purchased enough yet. Keep buying, it will go up without a doubt. It's the law.

    It's not all about SELLING.
Sure, I could rake in some bucks if silver were $30/oz right now (I have some rolls of ASEs, etc), but think about what some things would then cost....
    A SAE would be ~$33-$35.
earlier silver proof sets would be close to that $30/set.
New silver mint products would be ~$40+ per oz/pc.

    The buying side would suck!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Ben Bernake and his inflationary tactics to bail out the banks for their ignorant lending practices... 200BN injected liquidity, interest rate cuts-

Now letting the banks borrow money to cover loans and use default loans as collateral- That just sounds so damn smart...

ANyway- That and then people who are losing money in equities are covering by selling PM's and Margin calls are being covered with PM's. It is not all profit taking.

There is heavy resistance for Gold at 1000$ and thus Silver his hitting a ceiling right now. Chart fundamentals are strong for gold and silver- I am bullish here.

Interesting note- Silver was up .50$ and Gold 10$ and then Bernake announced the injection of liquidity and boom down goes PM's- Happened last week as well when the jobless claims number was released.

The last gasp of market manipulation

by the big silver short interests
  • when silver gets too pricey then antiques get melted and I'd hate to see that happen.
  • Well, it seems to me that more (fiat) money and static supply equals higher PM prices.

What is important is that silver goes from $20 to $30 before the buying power of a dollar goes to 66 cents of current buying power. Both are inevitable but the nature of capital preservation in this game is precisely this point.

Sell it all now. I can guarantee you (based on my experiences) that it will shoot up right after you settle your transactions.

However if you buy silver today at $20 using dollars and sell at $30 for Euros and convert those to dollars you will be way ahead. image

This is a new world. Silver paper contacts have hurt silver in it's rise you don't even have to have the silver or a way to get it to make big money now days. In the end those same people will lose a lot of coin since there's more contacts than physical silver that exist.

Bochi has a good point. And, I'm sure that $30.00 silver will happen all-too-soon enough. These are the good old days.

A little silver on a regular basis is kinda like a savings account, only with real money instead of imaginary money.image

  • The platform of $30/oz hasn't been realized yet due to the constraints established by Russ.....he hasn't sold yet so the market will remain at a low flux till the time of 37min past sale from Russ.....prices will then increase exponentially till a base market of $38.24/oz is established.
This is a very dumb ass thread. - Laura Sperber - Tuesday January 09, 2007 11:16 AM image

Another excellent point! I tried to get Russ to give a signal a couple weeks ago, but he refused to do it because he hadn't accumulated very much silver (yeah, right). That bodes ill for near term silver prices. I bought anyhow (on the spike up), which should keep prices down for awhile, until he starts taking his role as market indicator a little more seriously.image

Why is it not $30/oz. you ask?............because I still have some left. When I sell my last little bit, then, and only then, will it skyrocket.

Please be aware that $40 silver also brings $15 loaf of bread!
  • It's on it's way back up. $20.09 right now. Like mentioned before, these are the good old days. There is no indicators, for the price to drop. Just keep buying." Be the BULL" "See the BULL"

I've got a local dealer up here that offered me 15x face for 90% and 5x face for 40%.
He knows who I am though and did say that I would have to see him as no one else in the shop would give me that much (he runs the place and they all answer to him)

  • How much is manipulation? How much is based on supply and demand? I believe if you buy some every week, you can't go wrong. At least that is what I tell my wife.image

75% manipulation among the 4-6 largest commercial shorts that control this market

    25% supply and demand.
