    I dont use one. Yet. I am lookng for something that is very cool and something from way back. I havent had any luck yet, so I may need to build one. If anyone has one, Id love to see some pics. Great idea for a thread.

    For home security reasons they have become a thing of the past.

    Yea, my 'cabinet' weighs about 800 lbs. empty and is made of 3/4" rolled steel plating. I don't have it bolted to my foundation slab...although I should.

    A coin cabinet of sort...
    The bank refers to it as a "Storage Locker", the pic shows half of the actual space.

    A thing of the past although some are fine pieces of antique furnature and are collectable in their own right. Can be used to store some inexpensive coins for display purposes while more expensive coins should be stored in a more secure and less visible location.

    A coin cabinet would be great for display and storage; and your local home intruder with love how easy you make thier job.

    You can probably find them at some antique shops or furnature auctions. As for security, If you have one custom built, locks can be installed to lock the draws and doors. The fact is, if you do not collect coins that are in plastic, and leave them in the trays, you may get some fantastic toners.

    I have a nice, handmade, wooden coin cabinet that I use for my coins of low value... My very large, industrial safe contains the high value items. Cheers, RickO
