I think this is a coin of Augustus. Can anyone tell for sure, and what mint it's from?

    wow that looks pretty unique and cool. i almost sense a trace of a beard, which would rule out augustus but i'm not sure. i may have a
    pic of this coin in one of my old catalouges-- i'll look

    well i couldn't find an exact match...but if that's not a beard on the emperor there, then i can definitely see it as caesar augustus.
    Greek City State (macedonia? lydia? some place like that)lunder Roman rule is about as close as i can get on this one.

    It is from the Syrian city of Antioch. Similar coins were issued for Augustus and Tiberius, although the profile looks more like the former and what remains of the rev legend would seem to confirm this attribution.
