I met that Poorguy, Brandon Kelley at the Baltimore Coin and Currency Show Today!!!!

I met Brandon Kelley(Poorguy) of Anaconda Rare Coin fame today in Baltimore.
I said hello and mentioned that I was Goldbully from the CU forum.
We both had big smiles on our faces, ergo I hung around for about 30 minutes.
I really enjoyed his personality and his exuberance for the hobby/industry.
His youthful demeanor was exhibited quite well, and I especially liked his "French?" accent with some vendors and or customers.
I was amazed at his gorgeous premium selection of coins, especially his signature "coins of color."
I was truly excited by his 1892 $.50 Columbian Commemorative....looks even better in hand!!!!
A bit out of my price range, but a heart stopper.

We also talked about the BigC Dino-Lite craze, as Brandon was instrumental in getting several forum members to buy this cool tool, myself included.
BTW, the Dino-Lite guys were at the show and had some great demos and tech advice.
Their booth was one of the most popular for sure!!!!!!!

Brandon even picked up a few pointers!!!! Of course one of his proof 195x Lincolns was part of the demo.
I must say I really enjoyed meeting the 'Web-Architect' of gorgeous, lots of color, flashy coinage.
He definitely has a premier Website as you all know.
Oh, I fell in love with his 1881-S Morgan PCGS MS65PL with.....per his words: "Icy blue with cyan and lime highlights across the proof like surfaces on the obverse with a spot of lavender and golden orange on the left obverse. The luster on this icy gem is amazing."

I asked him for a price and I agreed to buy.
One problem, I did not have any money.
With that he says, "No problem, take it with you and send me a check later....you have automatic credit being a forum member."
I was taken aback for sure.
He told his very friendly employee to write it up.
The employee said, "You must rate somehow."
With that, Brandon goes off to dinner with some nice young lady(just a friend I was told).....He points his finger walking away and says, take care, Goldbully!!!
I guess my real name, Michael, was really irrelevant.

Thanks and Sorry Stephanie...you are right, it's not possible.
She's an 'Icy" beauty.
<< <i>I second that, Brandon is a good guy! I've seen both of those coins in person, and both look better in hand than in the photos, especially the 81-S. I saw that 81-S Morgan at the LB show and thought about pulling the trigger, but backed off and bought another Morgan instead, a beautiful blue and pink 1886 in MS-63. That one is pictured in my red cent album thread.

I appreciate that Elmer.....always good to get a "I second that one!" comment.
I will check out your blue/pink 1886.
Found it.....gorgeous to say the least!!!!!! Elmer's 1886
My only problem with him is that some of his coins are so outta my price range it makes me sad.
