  I would say EF-40, and not better.
  
  GS says $130 in 40, so I'd say in the neighborhood of $150-165 for retail.

  I'll go along with STONE on the EF40 grade.
  
  The weak T in STATES is caused by the striking characteristics from the opposite side of the coin. Not enough pressure to fill all the Obv. and Rev. devices good enough. The Bust of Liberty accounts for this.
  
  I'd say in between $130-$160 in price.

  XF40 to me too. Most of the 20's and 30's are very common in higher grades and have big mintage numbers for the series. Consider buying the teens on down. Don't over look the 1820 it's a real sleeper. I also like the 1821 and 1822 in this grade also. JMO
