  Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.

  This coin is perfectly authentic, but it does have a couple of flaws.

  PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
  I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

  Thanks folks. I thought it was. The flaws are definitely ugly, but acceptable since it's an early dollar I want to add to my 7070. I know it's not officially a part of the 7070, but It'll occupy a seated dollar slot. That is unless these are bigger in diameter. Thanks again.

  Like you, I am very wary of stuff like this when it's raw, but I see no red flags. It *looks* authentic to me.

  The nose reminds me of Tycho Brahe – his nose was chopped off in a duel, so he had a silver prosthetic made.
