You know I'm with you on the TGP stuff but there is so much TO Do about it that I guess I have gotten
caught up in it with the rest of out hobby and a hobby is what this is for me. Forty five years or more when
I picked my first coin out of change on my paper route or when looking through my Dad's silver
dollars he would bring home from delivering fuel oil I just collected what was nice in my eyes. Later when
others talked about a better grades of coin than what was in mine or my Pop's pocket I didn't really care. Well
as we all have over the years I figure that the better grade coins will hold a value or are nicer to look at
but what ever the case mint state coins became my desire. Now when I see a raw coin in my hand I can make
the decision about it's grade and if I'm wrong, O well I'm bad. It is when ya can't hold that baby and you want
too feel you're not getting tatooed I want a TPG coin so I get some what of a feeling that we are all on the same
page about grade. Yup it is the same coin raw just encased in plastic but supposedly some guy has sat at his desk
and said "ok I grade thee a whatever and go out unto the world and let it be known that that is what thou are".
Now all these years latter it seems that all I look for is plastic encased coins except when I come across and dealer
or collector that is of the "old school" and calls a 63 and 63 and not 65.
I am rambling again. I need to go take a couple of pills I guess.
The Lynchburg was bought at MS65 and the Gettysburg a 64
I really have fallen for commems of this era, just seeing the history pouring from a coin is appealing to me.
