How Do You Get Rid Of The Dollar Coins After Going Through Them?

I Have a Few Local Places with The "Coin Star" Counting Machines. One of Them Was Free of Charge until Jan.1,2008. Now they Want 8% of what you dump in. To make matters worse, I Took the remains of 6 rolls of Monroe Dollars mixed with other pocket Change and Dumped it into the Coin Star Machine Today. Big Mistake!! The Manager told Me The Machine Does'nt "know how" to deal with these new Dollar Coins. I'm not sure if he's right or Not, but the Machine had to be opened up and Manually retrieve all the coins! What a Mess! Soo i guess i'm going to have to Roll them Again?? Just curious what others do with theirs. Thanks In Advance, Ray in Florida..

We have had an uderstanding with our banks for quite a while now, it works, the understanding is....any coins we get from you, you will never see them again....we take them back to the banks who won't get them for us!

Did they have a big sign up saying NO PRESIDENTIAL DOLLARS? Anyone who would give a CoinStar machine 8% to count their change must have rocks in their head. Would you give a teller a $100 bill and ask for $92 in small bills? I didn't think so.

Go to McD's and spend 7 or 8 of them. Do the same at the grocery store, etc. It really isn't that hard unless you just go out and get boxes and boxes of them just to look for errors...in which case, I don't feel sorry for you
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
If I do coinstar, I get gift certificates, or some machines have gift cards now so I don't pay any fees.

So essentially you are forced to spend them in a way that you probly didn't want to.
No rolling and they could care less If you bring in 2-3 thousand at a time.

I've dumped at one time over a hundred in the self-serve aisle once at walmart
it went by very quick
other places are the PO, Burger King, local grocery stores, and the girlfriend uses them on her bus ride
they dont care when i hand them out - i guess all my stops are use to them
