I have a problem....

I have two mint sealed boxes in my possession but, I don't know which box contains which coins.

One of them contains the gold proof Jefferson spouse from last year that I didn't want to remove from the packaging and would to keep it that way. The other box contains unknown coins from the mint (I think a silver proof set) which I would like to open.

Are there any indications on the outside of the box I can use to figure out which is which?

Try typing the numbers on the label outside the box into google. I think some of them reference which coins are in there.

    Cant' hurt to try it.

  • Type the order number and last name shown on the box here. It will show you what is in the box.

    You actually have two problems.

    1) You think you have coins in the box
    2) You cannot know they're in there until you open them.

Not a big problem if you have faith in the mint.

Logon to your US Mint Account.

Check your order history for your gold spouse order.

There should be a tracking number that can be found on the shipping label that is associated with your order.

    Tracking Number(s):
    HXXXX2446822 PARCEL POST-1

This will identify the box the gold spouse is in. Once you find the correct shipping box, identify it with is contents. (i.e. 1/2 oz Martha Washington, 1/2 oz unc Abigail Adams, etc.)

p.s. This only works if you are the originator of the order. If you bought a box off of eBay, your SOL.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

You don't know what's in it unless you observe (open) it. I remember this one from Quantum Physics. I think its called Schroedinger's Coin.
