I overheard a dealer at a local coin show today claim if the guy he was talking to bought the 1909-S VDB AU58BR for (sorry I don't recall the price) he was only going to make between $10.00 and $25.00.
If you dealers out there are selling coins at those margins, man, you're in trouble because you are not going to stay in business very long.

You really think the dealer was telling the truth?

The owner of the shop I worked at years ago had a pretty good sense of humor...when customers would ask how we could stay in business while we sold silver bullion at such a lot amount over spot, the owner would respond, "We lose a little on each sale but we make it up in volume." Funny, but ironically, it confused a number of customers (which I found even funnier!).

<< <i>Trust me when I say that the feeling is mutual >>
"Trust me" add that to my list too.
I think I see two spelling errors in that statement.
And, I think both words are one and the same.
Incorrect: "Favorate" = I favor the Jelly donuts I ate.
Correct: "Favorite" = I favor it.
Some Bears let their wisdom and sage advice impair their spelling skills.
As to my favorite expression....."I want you to buy my coin!"
