Where can I find US Internal Revenue Special Tax Stamps?
I was taking a look at the back of CW, and Valley View had an advertisement for US Internal Revenue Special Tax stamps. These look pretty neat, and I did a search online. I could not find much information on them, and Valley View does not have a website. Does anyone know of any site with more information, and whether there is a good online dealer that sells these items?

This will start you in the right direction.
On eBay go to stamps and then " back of book " is the category they fall in. Following is a set of proofs.
Chance favors the prepared mind.
I specialize in cancellations on Civil War era revenue stamps.

U.S. Revenue Stamps
Hi airedale... I have several internal revenue and tax stamps just like you.
However in this site, i cannot find a place for back of book stamps.
They have to go in the Buy, Sell & Trade - Stamps area and in there
the topics people list are so wide apart ... They range from postage
to selected countries to postmarks to revenues to cinderellas to thematics
to covers and the lists goes on.... I think you may have to use the wording of
your headings carefully to reach the exact search...Just like coinpictures stated,
above he looks out for postmarks on civil war items. l look out for postmarks
( on piece if i can find them ) but only cancelled on the bottom left hand corners
of the stamps..... Take it from me, they are not easy to find. We stamp
collectors are fussy in our own ways but it keeps our minds active. Have you
ever approached one of your local stamp clubs and asked members in there
for their opinions of back of book items??? In my eyes the internal revenue
stamps are not postage stamps prerse as i dont think they ever went on the
mail to ship a package or letter. I do believe they were on documents,
bill of sales checks and so on however i could be wrong....OIO
