Interesting Vending Machine Find today!

AnkurJAnkurJ Posts: 11,370 ✭✭✭✭
So at the pharmacy where I work, a vending machine with sports cards and other collectibles was put in about 3 months ago. There are packs from the 80s and 90s, and occasionaly a coin set for $3 each featuring some old coins (nothing great). Today as I passed by, I saw a gold colored coin. It looked very cool as it was of Abe Lincoln. It was $1! I bought it and I have to say that it is pretty damn cool. And hopefully I can talk to the guy who puts everything in there to see what else he has in coins!

And on a side note, found a 1946 Jefferson Nickel in the register today! image

Image is a bit off. Color is like a gold coin, not toned.

I have a old peanut that I got from a vending machine at a bar last year, I paid a $1 for it, ate it today and it tasted like $hit.

I guess you can't get much for a buck no more, you got a piece of $hit coin and I got something that tasted like a piece of $hit.

Try spending $5 next time and let us know what you got.image

    Neat item.

While on the subject of vending machine finds, my wife's friend got a 1912 Liberty nickel back in change from an office lunchroom where she works. Pretty amazing. Wish I could find things like that.

I'll see your bunny with a pancake on his head and raise you a Siamese cat with a miniature pumpkin on his head.

You wouldn't believe how long it took to get him to sit still for this.

Its a pretty simple one. Ive never seen them either actually, but the lock on it is amazing.....its taped shut after the guy fills it! Its in front of cash registers, otherwise someone could just empty it out.

You're a brainless nerd who can neither spell nor use correct syntax. I have a marvelous picture in my mind of a sloppy fat loser in a stained wife-beater tee-shirt, stumbling around his walk up flat kicking his dog and yelling at his step-kids whilst they cower in fear from your drunken tirades.

But that's just me. Enjoy your life.

BTW, cool vwnding machine find - and you saved $2.50 plus shipping over the mint issue price image
