Why are people giving Russ a hard time?

I've found him to be friendly and knowledgable. He takes time to answer questions, truthful and to the point. A good board member IMHO.

He calls it like he sees it. Some people don't like the sometimes harsh truth.

Russ is one of them guys you like to punch in the nose after he gives you a black eye and then go laugh and have a drink with. Pretty simple fellow in my view.

I like people who aren't afraid to call people dumba*ses.

  • No one's giving Russ a hard time. He just doesn't stand for people's BS. Kinda like someone had earlier today.
My humble '63 mint registry set, not much, but it's mine!

Exactly. Except he has some manners to go along with it. Our favorite target who told it exactly like she saw it is no longer with us for people to pick on. Will Russ be the next name to garauntee 100+ posts? image

I don't quite like anyone that has his glass half full or half empty.

Russ seems like he is a person that sits in a crowd and soaks up the little things people don't quite know.

I think if he fills his glass at least 3/4's full he might become President some day, see that is what George W, has done and it's worked well for him.

Now this is just "MY" opinion so take what you want from a person that collects Worms at 2am in the morning, instead of buying them at the tackle shop before he goes fishing.

I have had a number of dealings with Russ over the years and I found him to be one of the best -

I look to him anytime I have a question regarding my SMS set and he has always been honest and forthright; exactly what I was looking for.

I would have made a bunch of mistakes if it wasn't for Russ and his helpfulness -

Two big thumbs up from me - imageimageimage

I sure don't think Russ needs me to defend him or his actions. I have done business with him and found him to be extremely helpful. Like others have said he calls them like he sees em; nothing wrong with that, and thats my story and I'm sticking to it. jws

Regarding Russ, you may not like what he says, but there is no question where he stands. I like that.

  • Russ is one of the good guys. He just doesn't suffer fools well.

He's not alone in that department.

As far as his glass......... well, from an engineering standpoint, the glass was poorly designed for the intended contents.

    Simple as that. image

*Edit: I use his famous Flea Market Morgan as my avatar, and with his permission, I might add.

The story of that predates many posters around here today.
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose."

We have gone from posting "precious and not so precious metal" threads to "Russ" threads today.

The former, information is easily obtained.

The later, information is an ice pick to the forehead...and some deserve it.

Absolutely why??? WHY, WHY, WHY??? Russ is a stalwart of this forum and while his posts indicate that he doesn’t want me dead like several other member here were quick to support, he is one of the most logical and practical members here.

While we are sometimes at odds, this would make sense as I am a bullion bull and Russ is a legend in the Classics and beyond. I would say that I would like to see this whole attack on Russ go away as I think this is almost as bad as the NY Times lying BullCrap about McCain. Geez, do you think a lobbyist that cute could escape a 14 year relationship without pictures. (pm if you have any image)

I wouldn’t think about voting for McCain until I heard about this story. Geez! Anyone else would have had an affair so the fact that he didn’t is a tribute to his honor which I think is certainly redundant in his case, but a question to the average man which says? She’s &%^$(*& hot John! What’s your problem? Dang! Why can't I be you? At least for one night? image

Why? Because I pay them to do it. Sometimes as much as $20 a day. We are not looking for the brightest of society nor the absolute scrape the barrel individual either. Unless they don't mind of coures. image

RUSS is the new "FRESH MEAT" image
  • Once upon a time...

On a planet in a far distant galaxy...

There was a great head with accented hair...

It was surrounded by the glowing reflection of 1000 mirrors...

And it stood out in full cameo relief...the greatest head in all the universe...

Then one day it came to earth and found a way to reproduce...

It created the U.S. Mint and the Mint made many more of these magnificent heads...

And then it created the TPG's and they put these heads into protective cases with lofty numbers on the labels...

And Russ looked upon all this and said "it is good"...

    image
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image
