Thanks for the reminder Steve. I hope to attend.

  • I wish I could attend it. It's a little drive away from NC.
My humble '63 mint registry set, not much, but it's mine!
  • A bit far for me also , about 3 hours .
PS I thought Maine was closed to non-residents
in the winter . You know , accesability , snow ,
seasonal motels , no fresh lobster rolls , etc .

Is the donut shop still open in Portand right across from the Howard Johnson's? Had some good memories there.

Maine is open and ready to serve all coin collectors. We may be frozen, but we are still open for business. And, yes, that donut shop right across from the convention center is very much open. At least that is what I hear, but I would have no first hand knowledge about topless donut shops. image

Come for the coins, come for the donuts, or come for the topless waitresses, but please do come. Should be a good show, with something for everyone.

As a young, wet-behind-the-ears auditor for a "Big 4" public accounting firm back in 1993, I spent several days in Waterville, Maine at the Warnaco factory, counting brassieres and panties, to verify the inventory for Warnaco's annual audit. I think that experience soured my perception of Maine as a whole (I have not been back since, and have just recently stopped having nightmares). image

Would love to see any interested collectors at our show on Sunday. Combine it with a skiing trip, a visit to L. L. Bean, and a day spent with coins.
