I commend Mr. Pettitte for his honesty.

No he was just showing that there isn't really anything Roger could even say to Andy about what Andy said.

Oh I dunno, If it was me I'd just say that 'maybe I did misinterpret what he said'.

Sorry Pettite's throwing Clemens under the bus isn't enough for me. He needs to sing about everything he knows. He needed to make his suspicions known to whoever was doing the investigation during the Mitchell report.

I have mucho respect for the guy. I think all these guys need to come forward and tell the truth. That's about the only way honesty and integrity is going to be put back in baseball. It's been a slippery slope thus far and it's only going to get worse unless people take responisbility for their actions. Since this issue is so much in the public eye now, it takes a real jerk to sit back and continue to lie to their fans, fans of the game, their teamates, and themselves for a sport they supposedly "love."

Sorry, I cant respect a guy who throws his best friend under the bus or anyone for that matter. I dont care about the subject enough to read all the articles so maybe Im wrong here but why didnt he just admit his own wrongdoing and leave it at that?

I agree. Some of the stuff they talked about was 7 years ago. If it was my best friend, that I vacationed with, I would have a hard time recalling those conversations. I just can't remember is a very good answer. Wish I had a best friend like Andy Pettite.

My opinion of these pitchers is immaterial.

I do have a feeling Petitte will be happier overall for the route he has taken than Clemens will be

I dont have much respect for Pettitte because he shouldn't have lied in first place by denying he took anything.I don't think he threw anyone under the bus by telling the truth to FED investigators.Why take the risk of not telling everything you know and then if the investigators think your not telling the whole truth then they start to look into your version and if it doesnt jibe with other info then you get into trouble.The truth shall set you free!

Remember 1 thing Pettitte did not volunteer any of this until he was caught ~ also he said what he said in a lawyer drafted statement instead of sitting next to his "friend". Is he a better cheat than Clemens because he fessed up quicker than anyone, Ok I will give him that but be rest assured that if he was a punk he would not be given an easy time on this.
