Too bad TDN beat me to you. Learn to read THEN rant.
You don't know Saints and I'll give you an example. You say "The mark an the reverse makes this coin a MS66 and not better." Now that's ridiculous as a statement of fact. A coin, any coin, is graded on OVERALL appearance and I've seen wonderful MS67 Saints with very small hits like the one on the sun. How big do you THINK that hit is? Think a flea's penis. (I didn't say yours because I don't care about it and anyway TDN is a gay-alarmist and would post 10 SG homo posts.)
When you make statements as fact about a series that you don't know you go to the guillotine. A mark as tiny as that would NOT preclude an otherwise spectacular coin from grading MS67. But that's NOT my question here. I don't care if it's not a 67. I bought it as a MS66 and that's what it is, and the finest IMO, at that. I don't need a "maxxed out" coin to feel satisfied. I love this coin.....for a few months more anyway.
For those who need to read and then re-read to understant the OT, I was asking about the PICTURE. The coin does not look as "impressionistic" as the picture. In fact HAG took a pic six months ago that I have on my other computer that is far more appealing, IMO...it shows the full orange skin...as much as Mike's picture does. Some of you offer opinions as if they are fact. Be careful because no matter whose thread, the author generally knows more about the coin than you do. I am not even the slighted bit tweaked by comments. I KNOW what I have and we'll leave it at that.
Yikes! Those first images Jay posted do not represent his 08 S - I'm not sure what those images represent. I've had that coin in my hands and the coin is fabulous in every respect - it really is a wonderful coin.

Be careful ripping on Jay's coins. I was once greeted by "Mikey and Jimmy" at my home, sporting long dark coats (mid-summer) and pictures of $20 saints, with them asking me "what's my problem"??!!!
I had to really look hard to find any nics on my 1908-S, or Jays. They are few and tiny. So many saints I have seen, have SOME kind of mark that stands out the second you look at it, and it would bother me. Not the two here.

You would cause Diogenes to be silent.

But after SG wished Colon Cancer on everyone a few weeks ago... I had a sphincter muscle twitch as my fingers touched the keyboard!

I hope you wash your hands.
